 | A Bold New Step

| Women 4 Women takes a dramatic step forward this month, with our board’s unanimous approval of a new strategic plan.
The plan will serve as the road map that helps Women 4 Women achieve our vision: to make sure that our community will be one of the best places for girls, women, and their families to live and work.
Nine months in the making, the new strategic plan is based on extensive research, including commissioned studies and polling, reviews of national women’s foundations, studies of local women’s organizations, focus groups, and more than 50 one-on-one interviews with community leaders.
In addition, Women 4 Women has adopted the following Belief Statement: "We believe that a core strength of our society rests on the contributions of women." (You can read more about our guiding principles and key objectives here.)
Special thanks to our Strategic Planning Team, which includes committee members Elaine “Cissy” Musselman, Diane Cornwell, Mary Barrazotto, Stephanie Bateman, Betty Bibbins, Kimberly Bunton, Ann L. Coffey, Mary McKee Hunt, Dennis Riggs, Lindy B. Street. The team’s advisors are Sandra Frazier, Bob Taylor, and Sharon Kerrick. Additional support came from Bridgette Pregliasco and facilitator Doug Stegner. | |

| Our new mission statement reads as follows: Women 4 Women is dedicated to improving the health and economic well-being of women and girls by increasing awareness, expanding resources and creating solutions to strengthen our community.”
Other key objectives: mobilizing community relationships to create and enhance collaborative efforts; expanding resources (including money, time, and talent); using and disseminating research findings; and building our organization. In the next couple of months we will complete the development of our action plans and begin implementation.
At Women 4 Women, we’re very excited about our new strategies for tackling these challenges!
