	Women 4 Women board elects officers W4W's new board chair, Stephanie Bateman LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Stephanie Bateman, director of communications for the Jefferson County Public Schools, has been elected chair of the board of Women 4 Women, a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the health and economic well-being of women and girls in Louisville. The Women 4 Women board elected Bateman to a one-year term as chair at its January board meeting. She replaces Diane Cornwell, certified public accountant and owner of The Starfish Group. The board also elected: Lindy B. Street, founding board member of Gilda's Club and former executive of Columbia/HCA Healthcare Tawana Edwards, principal at The Glenview Trust Company, secretary Becky Phillips, certified public accountant at Chilton & Medley, treasurer, and first-time member. In addition, the board elected as first-time member Deborah Moessner, regional vice president for sales, Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kentucky. Last year, Women 4 Women board members pledged more than $1 million to "The Fund For Women And Girls," Louisville's first community-based women's fund. Women 4 Women is now soliciting contributions to "The Fund"; its goal is to raise $10 million by 2010. Women 4 Women also partners with local organizations to sponsor programs such as Fit4Me, aimed at improving the health of middle-school girls, and training in financial literacy for women and their families.
