Kentucky Women's Health Registry
Women 4 Women is connecting the University of Kentucky Center for the Advancement of Women's Health with local health educators and organizations to promote and encourage women to take part in the first-of-its kind statewide registry to track women's health trends county by county.
The registry will help researchers better understand the impact of geographic, cultural, socioeconomic and other factors that affect the health of women in the Commonwealth.
They need as many women in Kentucky between the ages of 18 and 89 to complete the ground breaking survey (www.kywomensregistry.com) so that they can continue to build the research database. The Registry is strictly confidential, and is maintained on a secure server.
One of the objectives of the registry is to generate long-term women's health research data to improve the design and delivery of treatment and prevention options based on Kentucky women's needs. The registry may also help increase women's participation in UK medical research.
Each woman who completes the survey will get a personalized health profile, so please take some time to go online and register. | |

Financial Success Tip of the Month
Start collecting everything you need to file your State and Federal income taxes, such as W-2 forms, receipts, bank statements, lists of donated items, etc. Don't wait, especially if you think you will be getting a refund. Your money should be working for YOU. Also, when you begin planning how to use your refund; be sure to commit to saving a portion of it.
If you are interested in volunteering to become a Financial Coach for Women 4 Women, contact Margo Waddell at the National Center for Family Literacy at mwaddell@famlit.org.
