Gordi and Susan have both donated countless hours to the organization: Susan, as our volunteer Chief Financial Officer and Gordi, as a professional services volunteer who has helped with computer technology and organizational development issues. HELPFUL TIPS
Women 4 Women is dedicated to improving the health and economic well-being of women and girls, so each month, we will feature a Fitness Tip and a Financial Tip.
Financial Tip of the Month
Get Ready for Tax Season
Now is the time to collect and organize all necessary information: (W-2, 1099, donation receipts, medical expenses, mortgage interest payments, etc.) Don't forget both gains and losses from stock accounts. Make an appointment with your tax preparer or, if you do your own with one of the electronic programs, start now!
Fitness Tip of the Month
Walk 10 Minutes a Day and Increase Your Fitness Level
Old thinking was to work out in a sweat-filled gym for hours a day. However, new studies show that even short bouts of activity can increase your fitness level, especially if you're new at exercising. Consider getting a pedometer to track your steps. Did you know that 10,000 steps a day is a good goal for healthy active adults? One easy way to get in a few extra steps--park further away from where you are going. The steps will add up quickly!
THANKS
