Our goal is to make this site useful and easy to navigate, so please let us know if you see something you would like added or changed.  At the bottom of this page is a comments section that allows you to provide us with feedback.  We hope you will share your thoughts with us!

Thanks to the Gheens Foundation for funding the updates and making it possible to add features that will help women connect to each other and to resources.  We are also grateful to Solid Light and the Women 4 Women team who made it all come together.

us on Saturday, June 20 at the Festival Plaza at Waterfront Park
Bring yourself, your family and friends to the Norton Women’s Pavilion Champions 4 Her Walk, Run, and Festival to help raise money and awareness for Women 4 Women and 10 other local nonprofit organizations. Designate the funds you raise to Women 4 Women to help us continue Building a City of Champions 4 Her. The Walk, Run starts at 8:00 a.m. and continues with a Festival celebration that lasts until 12:00 p.m. The Festival includes chalk art street paintings by local artists, children’s activities, free health screenings, and healthy food. Admission to the Festival is FREE!

Finance 4 Her™ Selected to Take Part in Kentucky Delegation
Women 4 Women was recently selected to be part of a delegation that participated in a conference in Washington DC which was hosted by The Center for the Study of Social Policy. Louisville was one of seven cities selected nationally to attend the conference that took place on May 18 and 19. The delegation from Louisville included the Office for Women, the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services/Dept. of Community Based Services, KIPDA Jefferson Service Region Administrator, Protection and Permanency and Family Support Services, Neighborhood Place Partner, and Women 4 Women.

Our work in financial literacy, known as Finance 4 Her™ is positioned as “a best practice” for achieving outcomes important to the national conversation of helping families establish economic success through basic financial planning that guides their decisions, teaches ready-to-rent strategies leading to eviction prevention, home ownership and asset building and supports neighborhood revitalization.

The 2009 Women 4 Women Annual Luncheon is scheduled for Thursday, September 17, 2009, 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. at the Galt House East, Grand Ballroom. Our keynote speaker will be Michelle Singletary, a nationally syndicated columnist for The Washington Post and the author of the award-winning book, “7 Money Mantras For A Richer Life-How to Live Well With The Money You Have.” For more information on purchasing a table, click here.

Become a Champion 4 Her
Join the Champions 4 Her annual giving club through the “Give It” or “Get It” Campaign. You can become a Champion 4 Her member if you “Give” a gift of $1,000 or more, or if you “Get” $1,000 or more by raising funds through the Norton Women’s Pavilion Champions 4 Her Walk, Run & Festival and designating 100% of the funds raised to Women 4 Women. Register now online and help raise funds at champions4her.com.

It’s Easy to raise $1,000: Ask 10 co-workers for $10; ask 20 friends, neighbors and people from your church or temple for $20; ask 10 family members for $50 and altogether you’ve raised $1,000. And don’t forget your employer’s matching gift program!

Become A Volunteer Coach
Join Finance 4 Her™! Women 4 Women is currently recruiting coaches to teach women, particularly those leading single parent households, the fundamentals of financial success. To join the network of coaches, interested participants need to complete a Coach Application form and attend a 2 ½ hour training session. Contact Margo Waddell at
